Bradley S. Kappalman

Bradley Kappalman joined MedStar Washington Hospital Center in 1997 and has served in several leadership roles. His first job was QA/training coordinator and then manager for Outpatient Registration. Kappalman then served as the business manager for the Medicine Department's Ambulatory Practice, the reimbursement manager in Radiology, the director of the Central Financial Clearance, the assistant vice president for Medicine and Psychiatry and the vice president of Perioperative Services.

Since July 2011, Kappalman has served as the vice president of MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute. He works directly under the physician executive director to provide leadership for the catheterization labs, arrhythmia services, noninvasive cardiology, electrocardiogram (EKG), heart failure center, telemetry and cardiac inpatient units.

Kappalman is uniquely suited to his position, due to his extensive experience in the medical field and his close relationship to the Hospital Center in particular. Kappalman's responsibilities include establishing new goals and initiatives for the Heart & Vascular Institute, including evaluating new products and services and serving on many committees at the Hospital Center and at MedStar Health.

Kappalman received his MS in Management from the University of Maryland University College and his BS in Psychology from the University of Florida.
