About me
Meeta Sharma, MBBS, MD, is assistant chief, Division of Endocrinology, and medical director, Diabetes Team at Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Sharma is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology/Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Sharma received her MBBS degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. Her residency was at the VA Medical Center, Washington, D.C., and she completed an Endocrinology fellowship at the George Washington University Hospital. She is the author and reviewer of many articles, chapters and abstracts on Diabetes and other Endocrinology topics. She has participated in writing the Endocrinology syllabus and questions for the ACP's MKSAP. Dr. Sharma has also lectured extensively at community events and CME conferences. She is an active member of the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society.
