Dr. Elmarsafi completed his specialty of podiatric medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, along with his additional medical education background from Boston University School of Medicine, and Cairo University Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Elmarsafi later completed his residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and fellowship in Diabetic Limb Salvage at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Elmarsafi’s practice is largely focused in Diabetic Limb Salvage, the treatment of complex wound and ulcers of the foot and lower leg, and sports related injuries that include deformities of the foot and ankle.
