MedStar Washington Hospital Center is committed to compliance with state and federal laws on provision of communication; we recognize all patients, their decision makers, and/or those involved in their care are entitled to clear, complete healthcare information and to have their questions addressed in their preferred language for health care.
We provide medically certified/qualified interpreters 24/7 via in-person, telephonic or video services.
Outpatient scheduling
In-person interpreters can be scheduled by e-mailing [email protected] (for all non-English speaking patients) or [email protected] (for deaf or hard of hearing patients).
Inpatient Scheduling
Request staff to contact the Language Services department and arrange for provision of services.
