MedStar Washington Hospital Center Physicians Named Among Region’s “Best Doctors” by Washingtonian

March 12, 2014

Washington, D.C., March 12, 2014 – Nearly 200 MedStar Washington Hospital Center physicians have been named to Washingtonian magazine’s 2014 “Top Doctors” list. This year, of the more than 1,000 physicians named, 193 specialists, who practice at the Hospital Center, were recognized, representing 37 different medical specialties.

To determine the region’s “Top Doctors,” Washingtonian surveyed 8,000 randomly selected physicians, asking them to identify the doctors they would recommend to their friends and family members in each of 40 specialties. More than 1,300 physicians replied to the questionnaire, and the doctors with the greatest number of recommendations were added to the 2014 list.

“We congratulate our physicians who were recognized by their peers and named on the “Top Docs” list,” said Gregory J. Argyros, MD, MACP, FCCP, interim vice president of Medical Affairs/chief medical officer at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. “As always, all medical and dental staff are committed to treating each and every patient as we would a member of our own family, by providing the best medical treatment with care, compassion, and responsive service.”

Top doctors honorees are chosen every two years by Washingtonian. For a complete list of MedStar Washington Hospital Center's “Top Doctors” voted by their peers, please visit:
