The now-closed School of Nursing was the first building to open on the hospital's campus, and nurses have been at the heart of the hospital's success from the start. Nurses touch every patient, family member or friend who comes through our doors. In turn, the people they meet and care for often leave lasting impressions of their own. From the ICU to The Burn Center, MedStar Washington Hospital Center's nurses are a memory bank of the people and events of the last 50 years.
