Robert ScarolaRobert serves as vice president of Communications & Public Affairs at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.  Most recently, he was the system director of Public Relations & External Communications for Presence Health in Chicago, one of the largest Catholic health systems in Illinois.  He also served as assistant press secretary for Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, where he was a liaison to the business community and business media locally, nationally and internationally. Robert’s breadth of experience also includes working in Chicago and New York City as a Managing Director for Burson-Marsteller, the global public relations, marketing and communications firm. At the Hospital Center, Robert oversees internal and external communications; including media relations, associate communications, social media; and physician communications and engagement.
