Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed internal cancer in the United States. While it is the second leading cause of all cancer-related deaths, the good news is that regular screenings can detect colorectal cancer in its earlier, more treatable stages. Even though the overall cure rates for colorectal cancer are improving to greater than 50 percent, the number of colorectal cancer cases and deaths continues to remain high.

Cancer of the Anus

Cancer of the anus is rarer, and is a different cell in origin. The treatment often includes chemotherapy and radiation as the primary methods, not surgery. Our role is to monitor the disease with you, because sometimes surgery may become necessary.
