The Hearing and Speech Center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center provides a full range of audiology and speech services. We utilize state-of-the-art technology in the evaluation and management of our patients. The Center has been providing speech, language, and hearing services to the Washington, D.C. metro community for more than 50 years.

Our team includes eight audiologists and eight speech-language pathologists, who have more than 75 years of combined experience. They each possess an advanced degree in audiology or speech-language pathology from an accredited university, are highly trained, and hold national certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

The goal of our Center is to provide excellent, high quality diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients with speech, language, swallowing, hearing and balance disorders. As you, our patients, are our highest priority, we strive to create an experience that is caring, compassionate, and responsive. Our audiologists and speech-language pathologists possess the knowledge, experience, and skills necessary to deliver the very best care to all of our patients. At the Hearing and Speech Center, our staff is committed to anticipating and meeting your needs.

As a part of the MedStar Washington Hospital Center, we are fortunate to collaborate with some of the best and most experienced health care professionals in the area. Our approach is interdisciplinary. We consult with many disciplines including: Otolaryngology (ENT), internal medicine, radiology, neurology, gastroenterology, nutrition, respiratory therapy, physical and occupational therapy, and neonatology. The expertise of our staff, together with the benefits gained from being part of one of the country's top hospitals, makes it possible for us to be at the forefront of delivering state of the art services to our patients.

Our outpatient hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday hours by appointment.
