Comprehensive Outpatient and Inpatient Services for Rheumatic Diseases

MedStar Washington Hospital Center rheumatologists have a long tradition of providing exceptional patient care, training the next generation of rheumatic disease specialists, and conducting cutting-edge research to develop innovative new treatment approaches.

Because these disorders often are complex and involve more than one organ system, patients benefit from ready access to a host of experts and to holistic patient management. The division works closely with other medical subspecialists to provide expert consultation and state-of-the-art approaches to patient management. This systemic approach to treatment for these multi-organ diseases helps improve patient outcomes, as well as their quality of life.
